The Fastwarm® Tile Backer Board is the perfect insulation panel for use with our Fastwarm® 150w/200w/cable heating systems. The board dramatically reduces heat loss and can lower running costs by up to 25%.
These ultra-lightweight boards can be easily cut to size or shaped around fixed appliances using a craft knife. Their strong yet light structure also makes them easy to handle and transport on-site.
Tile Backer Boards can be mechanically fixed to timber subfloors using screws and washers, or bonded to solid subfloors with a flexible tile adhesive. Their moisture-resistant core also helps reduce subfloor movement, creating a stable surface for tiling over underfloor heating systems.
- Waterproof – Fully waterproof construction, approved by Ultra Tile adhesive manufacturers.
- High Insulation Performance – Thermal conductivity of just 0.034 W/mK helps minimise heat loss.
- Excellent Sound Insulation – Improves acoustic comfort in any room.
- Ultra-Lightweight & Easy to Cut – Easily trimmed on-site with a utility knife.
- Strong & Durable – Supports compression loads up to 30 tonnes per m².
- Multi-Surface Application – Suitable for walls and floors (follow correct installation methods).
- Flexible Installation Options – Mechanically fix to timber or bond to solid subfloors with adhesive.
- Standard Size – Each board measures 1200 x 600 mm (0.72m²).
Each board is 1200 x 600 mm and this version is supplied in 6mm thickness. For reference, a 2m x 5m room (10m²) would typically require 14 boards.
Our boards have been engineered for high strength, thermal performance, and ease of installation, making them a smart and cost-effective choice for insulating underfloor heating systems on concrete, screed, or timber subfloors.
Please note: Flexible tile adhesive is required for all installations. Timber subfloors also require mechanical fixings (screws and washers at 300mm intervals).
