- Prepare the joisted subfloor, ideally using a batten 50mm below surface of joist to accommodate the injoist batten finish flush with the joist.
- Begin laying out the Fastwarm injoist battens into the room.
- To lay the circuit, cut the pipe end squarely using the plastic pipe cutter, re-round the pipe end with the tool provided, place the nut over the pipe, ensure the olive and insert is fully fitted over the end of the pipe and the assembly is attached to the manifold. Tighten the nut using an open end spanner. Do not over tighten.
- Once all pipe runs are installed fill the system and pressurise using a pressure tester.
- Cover joist with your timber structural subfloor and install floor finish.
- Material
- Fastwarm Injoist Battens shall be made of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) with 100micron foil covering , providing excellent thermal insulation properties to minimize heat loss and even heat distribution for your underfloor heating systems.
- Dimensions
- Fastwarm Injoist Battens are 1200mm x 350mm x 50mm covering an area of 0.42m2 depth to provide sufficient insulation and thermal resistance to the floor assembly.
- Spacing
- Fastwarm Injoist Battens are spaced at regular intervals of 200mm to provide uniform spacings.
- Installation
- Fastwarm Injoist Battens are installed directly between the joist, with the foil facing upwards to reflect heat directly into the timber subfloor.
- Packaging
- Fastwarm Injoist Battens components shall be packaged securely to prevent damage during transportation and handling, with clear labelling indicating product specifications and handling instructions.
