Fastwarm® Ultra High Output Spreader Plate Water Underfloor Heating Kits are designed for installations between joists, for areas being installed as one Zone (area) and come with only one thermostatic controller. Meaning regardless of how big the area/how many rooms, the system will act as one and be controlled as one zone. For multiple room or zone control, please refer to the Fastwarm® Multi Zone Spreader Plate systems.
Fastwarm Aluminium spreader plates are 390mm x 1000mm x 0.5mm (groove depth: 16mm) diffuser plates suitable for joist centres of 400mm and are based at 133m.
Fastwarms 16mm Pert Pipe is fixed in the grooves of the plates, insulation is placed in the void below the plates to minimize downward heat loss and dissipate the heat even across the floor evenly.

- Prepare the joisted subfloor, ideally using a batten attached to joist to accommodate a suitable insulation panel leaving a 20mm void between the top of insulation to the face of the joist.
- Begin laying out the Fastwarm Spreader plate ensuring enough space away from the walls to allow room for the pipes to bend and return in the opposite direction allowing at least 250mm for this.
- Using either staples, nails or screws. Whichever you use, be sure they are secured flush with the surface of the spreader plate onto the joist.
- When running the second spreader plate, leave a 10 mm gap to allow for expansion, ensuring there is not overlap of the plates
- Carry on installing the Fastwarm spreader plates to fill the area repeating the above steps.
- To lay the circuit, cut the pipe end squarely using the plastic pipe cutter, re-round the pipe end with the tool provided, place the nut over the pipe, ensure the olive and insert is fully fitted over the end of the pipe and the assembly is attached to the manifold. Tighten the nut using an open end spanner. Do not over tighten.
- Once all pipe runs are installed fill the system and pressurise using a pressure tester.
- Cover joist with your timber structural subfloor and install floor finish.
- Material
- Fastwarm spreader plate systems are supplied are supplied with Fastwarm spreader plate systems at dimensions of 1000mm x 390mm and a thickness of 0.7mm, providing consistent coverage minimal height build up above the joist
