Fastwarm® FastDeck Panels provide the following:
- Minimal height increases above joisted / suspended subfloors.
- P5 grade 22mm chipboard manufactured with a 100micron foil covering.
- Pre grooved panel for 16mm Pipe installed at 150mm spacings offering optimal outputs into heated rooms.
- Once overboard is laid (Min 6mm flooring grade ply) most floor finishes can be used to finish your room
Fastwarm® FastDeck 22mm chipboard is grooved at 150mm centres to accept 16mm pipe and factory fitted with a 100-micron foil covering for even heat distribution suitable for applications over a suspended / joisted floor providing minimal floor build up.
Fastwarm® 16mm Pert al Pert Pipe can be installed directly into the FastDeck chipboard for the professional finish.
Each FastDeck board is 2400x600x22mm (1.44m2 in coverage)
Example 10m2 / 1.44m2 + 10% wastage = 8 panels
Onsite storage
NOTE: If it is necessary to store the system once you have taken delivery, ensure it is kept in the following conditions:
- A dry, weather tight area
- Out of direct sunlight
- Away from sharp objects or chemical spillages
- All chipboard, wood board or plywood must be stacked horizontally and raised off the ground
- It must not be exposed to moisture or high humidity
Please note; the Fastwarm® FastDeck 22mm grooved chipboard flooring must be covered with a minimum of a 6mm flooring grade plywood or a cement board. This will ensure your floor finish is laid to a structurally sound and level substrate which can withstand floating engineered/laminate, LVT (Vinyl and Linoleum), Low tog Carpets and Tiles.
- Check that all joist are structurally sound, level and evenly spaced and clean from debris such as knots and nails to eliminate and surface deviations.
- Determine if access is available from below, if not access panels will be require to run pipes back to manifold locations. Refer to manual.
- Lay the first FastDeck panel into a corner of the room, leaving a minimum 10mm gap between the edge of the panel and the walls. The two groove edges of the panel should be placed in the corner. the opposite end of the panel must sit on the centre line of a joist. Continue the FastDeck panels in a run, ensuring the end of each panel falls on a centre line of a joist. Use the off cut of each run to start the following run of panels.
- FastDeck panels must be glued with wood glue adhesive on both the tongue and groove and fully driven together along with fixing to joisted floor.
- Before laying the underfloor heating pipe work, it is advised to clean the floor area of debris that may have fallen into the channels. If provided refer to the supplied pipe diagram and begin to lay the underfloor heating pipework into the FastDeck panel.
- A minimum of 6mm flooring grade ply or cement board is laid in the opposite direction of the FastDeck panels and is screwed down to complete the structural substrate ensuring pipe runs are mark to prevent any damages.
- Once install is complete floor finishes cam be applied.
Fastwarm® FastDeck is a high-quality 22mm P5 chipboard designed specifically for underfloor heating systems. The board is covered with a durable 100-micron aluminum foil and features precision grooves to accommodate 16mm heating pipes spaced at 150mm centers.
